Phase separation in high-T<sub>c</sub>cuprates

Abstract We develop a minimal non-BCS model for the CuO 2 planes with on-site Hilbert space reduced to only three effective valence centers 4 different charge, conventional spin, and orbital symmetry, combined in charge triplet, describe low-energy electron structure phase states of HTSC cuprates. Using S = 1 pseudospin algebra we introduce an spin-pseudospin Hamiltonian which takes into account local nonlocal correlations, one- two-particle transport, spin exchange. The T-n diagrams complete were reproduced by means site-dependent variational approach within field approximation typical spin-magnetic systems. Limiting ourselves two-sublattice nn -couplings arrived at several Néel-like phases parent doped systems single nonzero order parameter: antiferromagnetic insulator, order, glueless d -wave Bose superfluid phase, unusual metallic phase. However, Maxwell’s construction shows global minimum free energy is realized separated are bounded third-order transition line T *( n ), believed be responsible onset pseudogap phenomenon.
